Job Description

 

  • Assurance professionals with this role serve large and small companies across various industries, delivering high-quality client service as part of the engagement teams.
  • They develop strong working relationships while collaborating closely with teams to understand clients' complex businesses and challenges.
  • Clients' needs and expectations, business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values, and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues are thoroughly understood by these assurance professionals.
  • They demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the audit approach, methodology, and tools provided by RSM US.
  • Audit procedures and tests are performed in accordance with the overall audit plan, ensuring proper documentation of work performed by these professionals.
  • Areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues are identified, and they collaborate with engagement teams to resolve any arising issues.
  • Technical accounting issues are researched by these assurance professionals.
  • Industry expertise is developed by them.
  • They prepare audit reports and management letters.
  • Professional skepticism, judgment, and adherence to the code of ethics are exercised by these assurance professionals during engagements.
  • Documentation is ensured to be compliant with quality standards of the firm by these professionals.
  • Collaboration with RSM audit professionals is essential for effective communication and teamwork.
  • Supervision and development training for associates are provided by these assurance professionals.
  • Ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables is taken by these professionals to ensure service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients.
  • Timely and high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations is provided by these assurance professionals, including coordinating the development and execution of the audit work plan and client deliverables.
  • RSM US and RSM Delivery Center's line of business service capabilities are understood by these assurance professionals, enabling integrated service delivery.
  • Ongoing education ensures professional development by these assurance professionals.
  • Participation in a range of projects and collaboration with multiple teams are characteristic of these professionals.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, initiative, and timely completion of work are demonstrated by these assurance professionals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or MBA.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant / ACCA / Licensed CPA.
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in an accounting and audit-related field.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting, including GAAP and GAAS.
  • Multi-tasking and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as the position requires frequent communications with RSM International clients and United States-based engagement teams.
