These platforms determine how customer orders are fulfilled, optimizing for profitability and customer satisfaction.

A key part of our work involves enhancing and scaling customer-facing platforms that provide fulfillment information on websites.

This includes maintaining an accurate representation of dynamic supply chains, determining product placement in boxes, predicting box flow through warehouses and trucks, and surfacing information for customers and suppliers.

We achieve this in milliseconds, thousands of times per second.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to provide transparency, data, and resources for informed decisions.
  • Drive high-impact architectural decisions and hands-on development as a technical leader.
  • Focus on production readiness, including testing, monitoring, deployment, documentation, and proactive troubleshooting.
  • Identify risks and gaps, proposing solutions to meet team and project goals.
  • Create proposals and action plans to garner support across the organization.
  • Influence and contribute to the team's strategy and roadmap.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in backend software engineering, architecting robust, distributed web applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Track-record of technical leadership and hands-on development following software development best practices.
  • Experience building web services with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI/CD) practices and tools.
  • Experience architecting solutions leveraging distributed infrastructure.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Aerospike, Redis.
  • Experience leveraging monitoring and logging technologies.
