Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

This role oversees the implementation and maintenance of a Quality Management System within operations and labs to ensure compliance with various standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the QMS ensuring it meets ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, internal standards, and client requirements.
  • Lead quality audits, manage corrective/preventive actions, and register customer complaints for resolution.
  • Train staff on QMS requirements, quality procedures, and testing standards.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks using tools like retest, Inter-laboratory, Intra-laboratory, proficiency tests, etc.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and laboratory accreditation processes, experience in auditing and regulatory compliance, as well as certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 & ISO 17025 or equivalent qualifications.

A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry, Quality Management, or related field is required. Relevant experience: minimum 5 years in quality assurance or laboratory management preferably within petroleum or chemical testing services.

Key Responsibilities:Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the QMS to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Lead quality audits and manage corrective/preventive actions to resolve customer complaints.
Staff Training
  • Train staff on QMS requirements, quality procedures, and testing standards.
Quality Checks
  • Conduct periodic quality checks using tools like retest, Inter-laboratory, Intra-laboratory, proficiency tests, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance or laboratory management.
