Job Title: Senior SRE

Position Overview:

This is a senior-level position for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to lead a high-performing enterprise-level SRE team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve high-impact production issues across infrastructure and applications, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with development teams to provide technical guidance on performance, reliability, and architectural challenges, driving business outcomes.
  • Participate in incident response bridges as a subject matter expert, leveraging expertise to mitigate impact.
  • Design and implement tools and scripts to detect vulnerabilities, automate checks, and enhance system visibility, promoting proactive issue detection.
  • Conduct post-incident audits and ensure follow-through on remediation plans, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DBAs, network engineers, and platform teams, to unblock and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and drive them to resolution without waiting for direction, demonstrating initiative and ownership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in SRE or DevOps roles, with a strong background in Kubernetes deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Deep expertise in Networking firewalls, routing, and connectivity issues, as well as Relational Databases patching, auditing, and performance tuning.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Python and Bash for tooling and automation.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, solve problems across teams, and navigate organizational blockers.
  • Familiarity with incident response and postmortem processes, as well as monitoring and observability tools.
  • Ability to mentor and coach other engineers and development teams, promoting knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with DBAs, network engineers, developers, and leadership to achieve business objectives.
