Job Description

Piping Design Manager is responsible for overseeing the piping design team to ensure successful project delivery. This role involves leading and managing a team of engineers and designers to prepare piping design documents, including PIDs, isometric drawings, and material specifications.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and experience in large-scale projects, with a proven track record in managing budgets, timelines, and teams. Proficiency in piping design software, such as AutoCAD and PDMS, is essential.

The position requires excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems early and develop effective solutions, are also crucial.

In addition, the candidate should have in-depth knowledge of piping design codes, project specifications, and industry standards. Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent certifications are desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the piping design team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee the preparation of piping design documents, including PIDs, isometric drawings, and material specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in piping design engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Industry expertise in large-scale projects, with a proven track record in managing budgets, timelines, and teams.
  • Proficiency in piping design software, such as AutoCAD and PDMS.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of piping design codes, project specifications, and industry standards.
