About the Operational Excellence Role

The organization seeks a skilled Operational Excellence Professional to drive performance improvement and growth across various manufacturing sites and processes.

This role will collaborate with leadership teams to develop and lead transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing operational excellence, systems, and overall drive a continuous improvement culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process improvement projects through operational efficiencies.
  • Establish standards for operational excellence and define policies to support group-wide initiatives.
  • Design and implement OEE programs to track, identify, and eliminate lost production causes.
  • Conduct diagnostics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct value stream mapping exercises to define processes; work with the site to implement or streamline/improve use of LEAN tools, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Propose and support projects and programs within businesses for identification of improvement levers, setting smart objectives, and carrying-out operational excellence initiatives.
  • Support execution of improvement projects by promoting use of proven tools and approaches to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ensure sustainable improvements through providing training and skill building of leaders.
  • Lead and mentor leadership team members, facilitating a culture that motivates employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Education with a scientific background is highly desired.
  • BS/BA in a scientific or business discipline and at least 5-8 years' experience in project/program management, operational excellence / continuous improvement, or consulting role required.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology field and relevant MS/MBA (Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, etc.) preferred.

  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Proven experience with Lean Six Sigma to drive business results.
  • Strong technical skills.
