US Taxation Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced US Taxation Specialist to fill this key role. The ideal candidate will have expertise in US taxation laws applicable to non-US financial institutions, compliance, and reporting, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of accuracy and regulatory requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee 1042-S and 1042 reporting, as well as 1099 reporting.
  • Implement and monitor FATCA policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and manage Qualified Intermediary (QI) compliance functions.
  • Analyze and report on corporate actions within the financial services domain.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant financial processes.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes in US taxation and advise on necessary adjustments to company policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Proven experience in a financial institution, particularly in compliance or tax functions.
  • In-depth knowledge of US taxation laws as they pertain to non-US financial institutions.
  • Hands-on experience with FATCA implementation and QI compliance.
  • Familiarity with financial services processes, including KYC procedures and corporate actions.
