Track Alignment Specialist

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Track Alignment specialist to assist in the preparation of preliminary designs and layouts.

  • Design Horizontal and Vertical Track Centre Line Alignments, ensuring accuracy and precision in our rail infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare Points and Crossings based on concept of operation, taking into account factors such as site conditions and client requirements.
  • Implement standard working procedures ensuring work execution as per agreed project timelines and milestones.
  • Analyze built components with tolerance to precede construction, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate day-to-day activities involved in Rail Track Design & Infrastructure Development project, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of various design methodologies in Elevated Sections, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop strong understanding of Rail Design software including Swept Path Analysis, Regression Analysis and Drain, staying up-to-date with industry developments.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Civil Engineering from recognized institution, with a strong academic record.
  • Minimum 10 years experience, 5 years in relevant experience in Track Alignment of Metro projects, demonstrating expertise and leadership abilities.

  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Ability to work within culturally diverse organization, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Problem-solving skills and industry best practices, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Leadership skills and ability to influence without authority, motivating and guiding team members towards shared goals.

Responsibilities include site visits for interface and monitoring purposes.

A collaborative team environment is expected, interacting with Geotech, Structure, Signal, Architecture, Utility, Traction, Rolling Stock and Multi Model Integration teams.
