Technical Architecture Overview

The ideal candidate will have experience with optimizing technical architectures comprising:

  • Over 120 high-traffic eCommerce websites serving customers worldwide
  • Business analytics determining product and catalog selection, customer growth and retention
  • ERP software managing global operations
  • Software for crawling product listings at scale
  • Modules across functions, including marketing, logistics, customer support, finance etc.
  • Modules supporting workflow, dashboards, and reporting processes for all divisions

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work with team members to troubleshoot and improve current back-end applications and processes. You should be analytical, results-driven, and possess excellent communication, computer, and project management skills.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Compiling and analyzing data, processes, and code to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborating with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive code
  • Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends
  • Recording data and reporting it to relevant parties
  • Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field
  • 10-14 years of experience with primary expertise in Ruby on Rails and familiarity with JavaScript front-end technologies
  • Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools
  • Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement
