Key Role: Operations Director

This pivotal position oversees all operational aspects of banqueting and catering services. The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals to deliver outstanding events, collaborate with internal departments, and implement processes that drive efficiency and quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of day-to-day operations, including planning, execution, and team management.
  • Collaboration with sales, culinary, and service teams to deliver exceptional events.
  • Development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for seamless event logistics.
  • Maintenance of quality standards, guest satisfaction, and service delivery across all events and catering operations.
  • Leadership and mentorship of teams in banqueting, kitchen stewarding, and F&B; recruitment, training, and management of departmental staff.
  • Preparation and management of budgets, cost control, and driving efficiencies for maximum profitability.
  • Compliance with health, safety, food handling, and local regulations.
  • Building and nurturing client relationships to maximize repeat business and event referrals.
  • Analysis of operational metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvements in processes and performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years' operational leadership experience in banqueting and catering in hotels or high-volume venues.
  • Demonstrated expertise in team management, event operations, and logistical planning.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of handling premium events and client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, event management systems, and financial controls.
