Job Title: Sous Chef

As a key member of our culinary team, the Sous Chef plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, this individual will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of food, as well as managing the kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards, meeting the quality and presentation expectations of our guests.
  • Kitchen Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available when needed.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for kitchen staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Diploma or degree in a relevant culinary field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
