Job Title: Food & Beverage Associate

At The Indian Hotels Company Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food & Beverage Associate to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Table Reservations: Ensure timely reservations and efficient table management to provide exceptional guest experiences.
  • Duty Chart and Section Allocation: Create and manage duty charts for waiters, allocating sections to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Daily Briefings: Conduct daily briefings to inform staff of key tasks, promotions, and events.
  • Staff Grooming and Informedness: Ensure staff are well-groomed and well-informed about menu items, promotions, and guest preferences.
  • Food Service and Buffet Management: Ensure timely food delivery, buffet replenishment, and proper food handling to maintain high standards.
  • Hostess Support: Provide support to the hostess in her absence, ensuring seamless guest check-in and check-out processes.
  • Beverage Orders and Meal Choices: Take beverage orders and provide guests with meal choices, including buffet and à la carte options.
  • Proper Billing and Service Standards: Ensure accurate billing and maintain high service standards to meet guest expectations.
  • Restaurant Setup and Maintenance: Ensure the restaurant is properly set up with mise-en-place, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Cash Counter and Inventory Management: Ensure the cash counter is well-equipped with change, charge slips, and stationery, and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts.
  • Stationery, Provisions, and Catering Supplies: Indent for stationery, provisions, and catering supplies on a weekly basis to maintain optimal levels.
  • Linen and Stewarding Management: Maintain par stock and circulation stock of linen and stewarding items to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Phone Calls and Enquiries: Attend to phone calls and handle guest enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Staff Discipline and Remuneration: Ensure staff discipline and remit cash and sales summaries to the front office cashier at the end of each session.
  • Maintenance and Reporting: Make and follow up on job orders for maintenance, generate reports for linen, stewarding, and stationery consumption, and update the non-availability and sell for the day board daily.
  • Guest Satisfaction and Cost Control: Ensure complete guest satisfaction and control costs by minimizing pilferage and breakage.
  • Stock Taking and Food Service: Assist concerned departments in stock taking and pick up food from the kitchen to serve to guests.
  • Cruets, Bud Vase, and Buffet Equipment: Maintain the upkeep of cruets, bud vase, and buffet equipment to ensure high standards of presentation and service.
  • Stationery, Provisions, and Catering Supplies Collection: Collect stationery, provisions, and catering supplies from stores to maintain optimal levels.
  • Buffet Counters and Restaurant Upkeep: Set up buffet counters and maintain the general upkeep of the restaurant to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
