Senior Data Operations Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Operations Lead to oversee the efficient management of our Machine Learning Data Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for spearheading operational and business objectives by leading a team of 18 to 22 associates with expertise in one or more processes/functions and proficiency in languages other than English.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute plans to deliver business metrics, leveraging data to inform operational goals and manage activities effectively.
  • Manage escalations; analyze data; highlight trends, gaps, etc.; and report key performance indicators.
  • Prepare data for business meetings/reviews and present to senior managers and stakeholders.
  • Plan capacity and commit to volume by managing resources, queue, shift management, cross-training, and leave management.
  • Own and prioritize work allocation based on business needs with a daily/monthly frequency.
  • Ensure high-quality output from managed processes.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and develop Corrective Actions (COAs) based on deviations, problems, root causes, and solutions.
  • Promote process improvement projects, present solution proposals, and implement them across applicable operational areas.
  • Participate and provide support in business reviews with mid-level and senior leadership.
  • Contribute to new-process onboarding, including complete documentation.
  • Participate in or own modules of solution-building in business process setup, operations front-line setup, cross-functional process activity, tool-build documentation, etc.
  • Apply understanding of performance and leadership standards effectively to team members and new hiring decisions.
  • Design robust launch plans for new team members and track progress through administration of launch plans as a mechanism.
  • Provide regular coaching and feedback to direct reports.
  • Develop performance improvement plans for associates as necessary.
  • Identify and collaborate with top performers for talent development and create a leadership pipeline for own level.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data operations or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, problem-solving, and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
