Senior Liaison Officer/Liaison Head Job Opportunity

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will manage government relations, legal coordination, and regulatory affairs.

Liaising with Government Departments:

  • Act as primary liaison between company and various government departments, local authorities, and regulatory agencies.

Project Permissions and Clearances:

  • Facilitate timely acquisition of all necessary project permissions, clearances, and NOCs (e.g. RERA, environmental, municipal, utility, fire, etc.).

Liaising with Town Planning Departments:

  • Liaise with town planning departments, land registration offices, and legal consultants to ensure accurate and compliant documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain effective professional relationships with government officials, statutory bodies, and other key stakeholders.
  2. Monitor and interpret changes in real estate regulations, zoning laws, land acquisition policies, and other relevant government procedures.
  3. Proactively prepare and implement a structured liaison process, including timelines, documentation standards, and compliance checklists.
  4. Submit regular reports to senior management outlining liaison activities, risk factors, and the status of regulatory approvals.
  5. Maintain up-to-date records of all communications, applications, permits, and approvals for audit and review purposes.
  6. Support legal and project teams in addressing land disputes, title issues, or other compliance-related matters.
  7. Represent the organization in official meetings, public hearings, and site inspections with authorities when required.
Requirements:
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Law, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in liaison, government relations, or legal coordination roles.
  • Strong legal and regulatory knowledge applicable to real estate, infrastructure, or urban development projects.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with government officials and legal professionals.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, handle sensitive matters discreetly, and drive outcomes under tight timelines.
  • Fluent in English, Hindi, and local languages (e.g., Marathi).

Preferred Qualities:

  • Existing strong network of contacts in BMC, DCP office, Collector's office, Urban Development bodies, and other statutory agencies.
  • Prior experience in real estate, infrastructure, or large-scale urban development companies.
  • High degree of integrity, accountability, and professional maturity.
