Job Title: Cloud Operations Leader

About the role:

  • Provide strategic leadership to the cloud operations teams.
  • Manage and develop high-performing teams of technical experts.
  • Lead service operations support for public and private cloud environments.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Own end-to-end availability and performance of key services.
  2. Build automation to prevent problem recurrence.
  3. Develop and maintain operational processes, including incident management, change management, and release management.
  4. Support training requirements for the operations team.
  5. Cultivate relationships with other cloud operations managers to ensure consistency across cloud platforms.
  6. Collaborate with cloud product management to drive improvements to products and services.
  7. Participate in backlog grooming and influence engineering roadmap priorities.
  8. Maintain consistency of cloud environments through efficient release management processes.
  9. Be the point of contact for escalation management as needed, coordinating with engineering.
  10. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports to provide transparency and drive positive change.
  11. Drive continuous improvement through strategic solutions with an automation-first attitude.
  12. Develop strong observability and monitoring capabilities in partnership with engineering.
  13. Effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
