Job Opportunity: Java Application Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Java Application Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Java and production support environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring application stability, performance, and availability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents efficiently.

  • Provide Level 2/3 application support for Java-based enterprise applications.
  • Perform root cause analysis, issue resolution, and incident management.
  • Monitor application performance and proactively address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Manage and execute deployments using automation tools.
  • Support job scheduling, monitoring, and reporting using tools like Autosys/Control-M.
  • Work with observability tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Splunk, ELK, Grafana) to identify and resolve system bottlenecks.
  • Document processes and resolutions as part of knowledge management.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and handle high-severity incidents as required.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Java Application Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Java-based enterprise applications. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Stability, Performance, and Availability: Ensure that applications are stable, perform well, and are available as needed.

Troubleshooting and Resolution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents efficiently.

Automation and Deployment: Manage and execute deployments using automation tools.

Knowledge Management: Document processes and resolutions as part of knowledge management.

On-Call Rotations: Participate in on-call rotations and handle high-severity incidents as required.
