Java Backend Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who wants to make a meaningful contribution to our company's success.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to write clean, efficient code in Java.

  • Design and build RESTful web service APIs in Java that enable and support our member-facing web applications and our partners.
  • Work collaboratively as part of an agile team to deliver solutions to business needs.
  • Relentlessly pursue continuous improvement in our products and processes.
Key Requirements:

4+ years of software development experience utilizing Java with at least 2 years' experience working with REST Web Services.

Strong experience designing database tables and writing SQL queries in an RDBMS, such as Oracle.

Deep knowledge and familiarity with web frameworks, such as Spring MVC or Spring Boot.

API security understanding and experience working with an API Gateway (such as Tyk) for API authorization.
