Job Title: Plant IT Head

About This Role:

This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the overall IT infrastructure, applications, and systems at a manufacturing plant.

  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of heading IT systems in a medium to large-scale formulations or API manufacturing facility.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure & systems to support various internal functions like production, engineering, quality control, and warehouse operations.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and management of servers to ensure optimal performance for reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage active and passive networking components, including switches, routers, firewalls, and cable systems.
  • Understand pharmaceutical processes and their importance on product quality and safety.
  • Ensure all IT systems comply with industry regulations and standards, particularly those relevant to GxP standards.

Requirements:

  • B. Tech/B.E./B.Sc./BCA or above from a reputable institute.
  • 15-20 years of relevant experience in IT management, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of server management (Windows, Linux), active and passive networking, and information security.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in SAP, eBMR, MES, QMS, LIMS, and other IT applications.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNA, or equivalent are desirable.
