Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Operations Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing primary operational support for multiple large, distributed software applications and employing deep troubleshooting skills to improve the availability, performance, and security of services designed with 24/7 availability and operational readiness.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in monitoring, APM, and profiling tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and proficiency in cloud platforms like Azure Cloud. Additionally, they should have experience with containers, Kubernetes, and Helm, as well as functional knowledge of cloud network, firewalls, ingress and egress controllers, service mesh, and Argo CD, GitLab, CICD, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and monitor various monitoring dashboards to detect problems related to application, infrastructure, and potential security incidents.
  • Provide primary operational support for multiple large, distributed software applications.
  • Employ deep troubleshooting skills to improve the availability, performance, and security of services designed with 24/7 availability and operational readiness.
  • Perform in-depth postmortem analysis on production incidents, assessing effective business impact and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Create dashboards and alerts for monitoring the platform, defining key metrics and service level indicators, and ensuring relevant metric data is collected.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation, automating toil by building software and automation for seamless application deployment and third-party tool integration.
  • Collaborate with teams to analyze major incidents and work towards permanent fixes.
Requirements
  • 4-year degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a production support role supporting large scale SAAS Production B2C or B2B Cloud Platforms.
  • Hands-on problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of Java, TypeScript, Python, and Azure Cloud.
  • Proficiency in monitoring, APM, and profiling tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Working experience with containers, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Functional knowledge of Cloud Network, Firewalls, Ingress and Egress controllers, Service Mesh, and Argo CD, GitLab, CICD, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code.
