Data Governance Expert

About the Role
  • We are seeking a Data Governance Expert to join our team, providing technical leadership across Enterprise Data & Corporate Technology (EDCT).
  • This role supports key project-driven initiatives and operational tasks to maintain the integrity of the infrastructure environment, with a strong focus on platform governance.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Platform Governance: The Business Intelligence Platform Lead will be responsible for providing technical leadership across Enterprise Data & Corporate Technology (EDCT), supporting key project-driven initiatives and operational tasks to maintain the integrity of the infrastructure environment.
  2. Policy Development: Development and implementation of Policies, Standards, and Procedures related to data governance.
  3. Stakeholder Alignment: Align with stakeholders and users to enforce or remediate non-standard usage.
  4. Maintenance and Updates: Actively strive to keep Standards documents, Process and Procedures Documents, and Baseline documents up to date with emerging industry standards.
  5. Data Repository Management: Develop and maintain metadata repositories.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related experience in data governance, data management ideally in a Financial Services or other highly regulated environment.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of BI tools (SQL, data modeling tools, etc.), knowledge of data governance challenges and solutions, general awareness of industry trends in BI tools, platforms, processes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
Specific Skills and Technologies
  • Data Governance Tools: Knowledge of data governance tools such as Looker, Sigma Computing, Power BI, and Snowflake.
  • BI Tools: Working knowledge of BI tools (SQL, data modeling tools, etc.).
