Job Description

  • As a key member of our organization, the Data Governance Consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data governance strategy that aligns with our business objectives. This involves understanding our current data governance structure, drafting a data governance charter and operating model with clear roles and responsibilities, and creating a glossary with terms and definitions.

  • The successful candidate will also set up Collibra communities, domains, types, attributes, status, articulation, workflow, and customize attribution. Additionally, they will identify and prioritize data domains for data governance based on business value and ease of implementation, define roles and responsibilities governing communities and assets within the Collibra environment, recommend and implement workflows to govern metadata, and engage with client SMEs to identify key business terms from shared documents.

  • This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with data governance tools and technologies, particularly Collibra, and be able to automate manual data demand processes by configuring and implementing workflows.

  • In addition to these technical skills, the Data Governance Consultant will need to create end-to-end lineage in Collibra DGC based on analysis performed and display the lineage in visual format for business users. This requires strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Data Governance: Experience with data governance strategies, frameworks, and tools.

  • Collibra: Proficiency in using Collibra for data governance, including setting up communities, domains, types, attributes, status, articulation, workflow, and customizing attribution.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
