Strategic Process Lead

This role drives business growth by leading strategic process improvement initiatives. It identifies opportunities for optimization and implements lean methods to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

  • The primary objective is to develop and deploy value stream maps to improve facility utilization and workflow organization, resulting in significant on-time performance and working capital enhancements.
  • It facilitates collaboration across all functions to design efficient workstations and processes, focusing on key business process quality improvement.
  • The progress of quality improvement projects and implementing best practices/WCM Practices are communicated with the champion & steering committee team.
  • As a Six Sigma coach, it provides expert advice and assistance to Green Belts, Process Owners, and Team Members in statistics, change management, and process design strategies.
  • Data about team activities is gathered and analyzed to monitor the progress of six sigma projects and ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Motivating team members to participate effectively in improvement activities and rewarding those who perform well every month.
  • Implementing SPC systems and tools in the department to monitor and control processes.
  • This position works closely with global teams to develop the annual lean transformation plan for each site or functional area based on value stream maps, strategy deployment objectives, and a lean assessment to drive waste reduction.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and influencing others in teams through education/communication that change in methodology is the right thing to do.
  • Partnering with business stakeholders at all levels in the organization to identify high-impact improvement opportunities and their business champions.
  • Tracking/project results and ensuring that improved processes stay improved.
  • Leading multi-disciplined teams in addressing quality issues and executing systemic improvement projects in a timely manner.
  • Working on one of the highest management priorities.
  • Facilitating and coaching teams to support business growth with a high level of empowerment.
  • Preparing weekly, monthly reports pertaining to operations.
  • Preparing monthly plant reports and sharing concerns in a timely manner.
  • Aiding the operations team with data analysis using analytical tools.
  • Conducting refresh training to shop floor on Lean six sigma and statistical process control tools.
  • Driving savings and improvement projects through Lean six sigma.
  • Actively using safety calendar as an accountability tool to measure safety performance and promote EHS culture.
  • Ensuring adherence to basic quality management system.
  • And other tasks as assigned.
