Database Architecture Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Architecture Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Administration: Administer Intersystems IRIS/Cache(Ensemble) in a large enterprise environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Security and Access Control: Implement security best practices and access control policies to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning: Plan and optimize database capacity to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery Strategies: Design and implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database development, with experience in integrating IRIS with ETL/BI software and working with Agile methodologies.

Requirements:
  • At least 2+ years of experience in database development in a large enterprise environment.
  • Expertise in administering Intersystems IRIS/Cache(Ensemble), including installation, upgrades, and database patching.
  • Strong understanding of database design and data modeling principles.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and release management systems.
  • Good knowledge of Azure and Agile methodologies.
