Lead Database Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Database Architect to manage and maintain our organization's database infrastructure. This includes ensuring the security, performance, and integrity of our databases.

  • This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance PostgreSQL databases in production environments.
  • You will develop and execute strategies to optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve database efficiency.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for designing, implementing, and maintaining data warehouses, data lakes, and other large-scale data systems.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in production environments.
  • Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, architecture, and tuning.
  • Strong expertise with HA and replication solutions (Patroni, repmgr).
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and automation.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with AWS PostgreSQL services like RDS and Aurora.
  • Knowledge of logical replication and foreign data wrappers.
  • Understanding of connection pooling and proxy tools (PgBouncer, HAProxy).
