Cloud Database Specialist Role
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA with strong expertise in database upgrades, high availability solutions, and cloud migrations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in upgrading, migrating, and maintaining mission-critical databases to ensure performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute SQL Server upgrade projects, including migration from legacy versions to modern platforms.
  • Design, configure, and manage high availability solutions (HA/DR) in production environments.
  • Plan and implement database migrations to the cloud with minimal downtime.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance (queries, indexes, statistics).
  • Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure database reliability and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience upgrading SQL Server in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of high availability solutions and other HA/DR options.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud database migration (AWS, Azure, or hybrid solutions).
  • Proficiency in T-SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Solid understanding of backup/recovery strategies and database security.
  • Familiarity with automation tools for database administration is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
