Electrical Design Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to fill a challenging role.

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in handling electrical design activities, specifically in data-center or industrial projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing building management systems, chiller plant automation, fire detection, public address, telecom and security systems for data center or industrial projects. This includes conceptual design at the preliminary stage by understanding project requirements and adhering to relevant codes & standards.

  • Select best suited instruments or devices and their specifications for building automation, fire alarm, and security system design.
  • Prepare/review basis of design, including BMS IO summary, sequence of operations for various systems, cause & effect matrix for fire alarm system, detail drawings for field devices, and cable conduit layouts.
  • Tender documents with relevant design, technical specifications, material requisition, data sheets, and BOQ as per requirement.
  • Preparing TBA/TBE, review of technical data sheets and shop drawings submitted by various vendors/contractors.
  • Evaluating and performing design reviews and participating in team meetings to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Coordination with other disciplines and perform squad checks on drawing received from other disciplines.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiar with data center master plan, concept, schematics.
  • Fair understanding on TIA-942-B standard for data centers.
  • Hands-on experience of Indian and international codes for design.
  • Interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Proficiency in review of 3D models using Navisworks.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of IS/IEC standards.

Software Competency:

  • Application of 3D review software like Navisworks.
  • Application of other supporting software like Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Competent user of MS Office 365: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Candidate Profile:

  • Self-driven with good management & reporting capabilities.
