Job Title: Senior Electrical Systems Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced electrical systems engineer to join our team. As a senior electrical systems engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical and instrumentation systems for vacuum pumps, compressor skids, and other equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop: Electrical and instrumentation systems for various equipment, including vacuum pumps and compressor skids
  • Client Specifications: Study client specifications related to electrical and instrumentation scope, prepare technical query lists, and close queries in discussion with clients
  • Selection of Equipment: Select gauges, transmitters, motors, junction boxes, control panels, cabling, cable trays, and cable conduits as per client requirements
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for ordering equipment from suppliers and support project design engineers in within-skid instrumentation and cabling layout
  • Documentation: Prepare documents like instrument hookup drawings, I/O lists, instrument indexes, cause-and-effect charts, junction box wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and logic diagrams
  • Closing Queries: Resolve client comments and obtain client approval on electrical and instrumentation-related documents
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues at Edwards factory and site
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the industry

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Experience: 3 years of experience working in an engineering department, preferably in the E/I stream, in oil and gas industries
  • Skillset: Knowledge of preparation of technical documents in packaged skids, sound knowledge of instruments, gauges, transmitters, junction boxes, panels, cabling, and good knowledge of E/I international standards
