Role Overview:
This role is responsible for leading our commercial operations and driving strategic value across the business through effective sourcing and procurement strategies.
You will be the primary point of contact for all commercial activities, including procurement/sourcing of APIs, Excipients, Capital goods, Raw Materials, Packaging Materials and Finished Goods, as well as non-trade items for captive consumption.
Key responsibilities include establishing relationships with senior stakeholders, evaluating demand patterns, developing procurement roadmaps, negotiating contracts, budgeting and planning resources, and contributing to long-term plans.
You will also serve as a subject matter expert for contract negotiations, quantify and report savings, develop and implement category strategies, and drive supplier relationship management and governance programs.
Additionally, you will mentor and develop capabilities of the commercial teams, manage processes, policies, and tools, and optimize technologies and systems.
You will be responsible for setting up local sourcing expertise at multiple locations in the African Continent, as SHL expands its global manufacturing footprint.
