Job Title: Database Systems Architect

Key Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Database Systems Architect to join our organization.
  • As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing database systems that meet the needs of our business.
  • You will work closely with our development team to ensure that our databases are scalable, secure, and performant.
  • In addition to your technical expertise, you will also provide leadership and guidance to junior team members.
  • You will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of database technologies such as SQL Server.
  • Experience with high availability technologies, performance tuning, and troubleshooting is also essential.
  • Desirable qualifications include experience with data/devops, continuous integration, and migration between versions of SQL Server.
  • Previous experience of providing 24/7 production and development support for business critical applications and servers is essential.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a complex corporate IT infrastructure role is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years previous experience in a Senior Database Administrator role is essential.
  • Essential knowledge with Redgate SQL Monitor and Redgate SQL Backup is required.
  • Desirable: Previous experience of data/devops including continuous integration.
  • Desirable: Previous experience of migrating between versions of SQL Server.
  • Essential: Experience of providing 24/7 production and development support for business critical applications and servers is essential.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
