Strategic Cost Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Cost Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in the Finance Organization's success by providing expert costing advice and guidance.

About the Role:
  • Standard Costing: Develop and implement annual and periodic refreshes of standard costs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • New Product Costing Scenario Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of new product costing scenarios to inform business decisions.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Create and manage budgets and forecasts for direct expenses and factory logistics expenses.
  • Month-End Closing Reporting: Oversee and ensure timely completion of month-end closing reporting activities, including reviewing and ensuring quality of team member outputs.
  • Team Management: Effectively manage team schedules to guarantee timely and accurate completion of all activities throughout the month.
  • Performance and Training: Ensure self and team performance aligns with established process SLAs and KPIs, and provide robust training and cross-training opportunities to enhance resource capabilities.
  • Client Communication: Independently manage regular client communication, preparing and presenting monthly business review dashboards, resolving process issues or escalations, and ensuring non-repetition of errors.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Focus on improving customer satisfaction by understanding customer expectations and aligning team efforts accordingly, while successfully transitioning activities and validating process workflows, SOPs, etc., as required.
  • Operational Risk Compliance: Support Operational Risk Compliance Process Controls Risk Assessments and Report Out.
  • Internal External Audits: Ensure successful completion of all internal external US GAAP SOX audits, maintaining regular and timely updates of documents and MIS.
  • Team Development: Responsible for training and development, retention of team members, and providing periodic performance feedback.
  • Process Improvement: Lead implementation of process improvement ideas and support projects for the implementation of new tools and technology.
