Investment Associate Role

The primary objective of this position is to collaborate closely with clients in the structured finance sector, comprehensively understanding their investment requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Onboard client portfolios by reviewing legal agreements, interpreting servicer or trustee reporting.
  • Closely collaborate with clients on risk and exposure monitoring of transactions.
  • Calculate covenants, concentration limits, eligibility criteria, concentration tests, Borrowing Base calculations, and other key metrics/tests.
  • Assist daily operations of various workstreams, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Implementation teams for data accuracy on proprietary platforms.
  • Mentor team members to enhance overall learning curve.
  • Provide enhanced surveillance to clients on their portfolios, sharing critical performance aspects proactively.
  • Contribute to standardizing processes to increase efficiency and setting up SOPS and processes around deliverables.
Required Experience/Skill Set:
  • Broad knowledge of Structured Finance products, corporate credit landscape, ABL, CLO, Middle Market Portfolio Financing.
  • In-depth knowledge of core financial and accounting concepts.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling using MS Excel.
  • Understanding of financial databases, including Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Factiva.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a fast-paced team.
  • Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Degree in finance (MBA, CFA, CAIA, FRM) or equivalent experience required.
  • Prior experience of at least 3-5 years with an Investment Bank, Investment Management firm, or Financial Advisory firm preferred.
