Our Corporate Finance team is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AR & AP Accountant.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Canadian taxes, handling high transaction volumes, and can work independently in a dynamic corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute regular financial reports.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, addressing any payment issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data by maintaining and updating the accounts payable ledger.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • QuickBooks experience.
  • Knowledge of Canadian taxes.
  • Experience with Canadian full-time employees – federal tax, provincial tax, CPP, EI.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
