Business Intelligence Analyst - Data Specialist

The role of a Business Intelligence Analyst - Data Specialist is to act as liaison between technical and business teams. This involves connecting with Client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand system functionality and data.

Data profiling, understanding data quality and critical elements for standardization and reference across systems, are key responsibilities in this position.

A comprehensive data mapping and lineage document will be developed to ensure stakeholders comprehend data transformations. Additionally, models and design documentation will be created to facilitate collaboration and communication among team members.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • At least 5 years of experience in large-scale data applications, with expertise in data analysis, mapping, and transformation.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake and relational databases, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL and ability to write business requirements, source-to-target mappings, and STTM.
  • Experience with data consolidation, transformation, and standardization from various systems.
  • Exposure to the Insurance (Property and Casualty) domain.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently towards team goals.

Desirable skills include knowledge of the Insurance domain and SQL.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Key skills for success in this role include SQL, STTM writing, and Insurance Domain knowledge.
