The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for preparing and delivering accurate, high-quality business intelligence (BI) analyses and reports to key stakeholders. This role involves gathering reporting requirements, performing data analysis, ensuring data quality, and using standardized dashboards to support decision-making. The analyst works closely with senior BI team members and business leaders to understand stakeholder needs, deliver actionable insights, and support the organization's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, document, and validate reporting requirements from stakeholders.
  • Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple enterprise sources (e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, SAP HANA, APIs, Salesforce).
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and validity of analyses.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models, applying best practices in visualization and storytelling.
  • Use advanced SQL for data manipulation, query optimization, and report automation.
  • Integrate and analyze Salesforce data to create comprehensive performance and sales reports.
  • Automate reporting workflows using Power Automate, Power Apps, or Python to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Senior BI Analysts and BI Leaders to clarify requirements, align deliverables, and meet timelines.
  • Communicate analytical findings clearly to diverse audiences, tailoring messages to stakeholder needs.
  • Support data governance by identifying and correcting data quality issues.
  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Contribute to building and sustaining the Cummins leadership culture by demonstrating Cummins Leadership Behaviors.
