Job Opportunity: Audit Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of an Audit Assistant.

About the Role:

  • Plan and execute comprehensive audits in accordance with industry standards, including GAAS, IFRS, and US GAAP.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of internal controls, identify areas for improvement, and recommend process enhancements.
  • Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance, providing clear and concise audit reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and implement effective audit programs and testing procedures that align with risk and test objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client personnel to gather necessary information, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and auditing standards, applying this knowledge to inform audit decisions and improve overall quality.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members through on-the-job training and mentorship, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Participate in special projects, internal initiatives, and risk assessments as required, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent certification.
  • 1-4 years of audit experience in a public accounting firm or internal audit role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit software (e.g., CaseWare, IDEA, ACL).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
