Job Title: Instrument and Electrical Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrument and Electrical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our field instrumentation equipment.

  • This includes developing, assigning and managing maintenance strategies for field instrumentation equipment, supporting asset reliability by developing and assigning appropriate equipment strategy.

Purpose & Accountabilities:

  • Perform engineering activities covering all key areas of instrumentation technology including field instruments, control and shutdown valves, analyzer, and control systems.
  • Review and update equipment maintenance strategy for instrumentation (e.g. Transmitters, control valves, flow meters, analyzers)
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with operational priorities.
  • Understand asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management.
  • Understand Preventive, Predictive, Condition monitoring tasks with respect to assets.
  • Standardize instrumentation maintenance procedure and test intervals across similar asset classes.
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classification, international instrumentation standards.
  • Skilled Instrument Maintenance Technicians with understanding of the preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of field instrumentation, including control valves, on-off valves, various field instruments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 6-10 years of experience in instrumentation and electrical maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation technology and control systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
