Senior Physical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Physical Design Engineer to join our team in Thiruvananthapuram, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ASIC physical design and excellent communication skills.

  • Top-level floor planning, placement, scan-chain-reordering, clock tree synthesis, timing optimization, SI aware routing, timing analysis/closure, ECO tasks (timing and functional ECOs), SI closure, DRC, LVS checks, and Antenna checks.
  • Experience with 65nm or lower node designs and low power techniques such as Voltage Islands, Power Gating, and substrate-bias.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Physical Design Engineers.
  • Interface with front-end ASIC teams to resolve issues.
  • Timing closure on DDR2/DDR3/PCIE interfaces.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Floor planning, P&R, extraction, IR Drop Analysis, Timing and Signal Integrity closure.
  • Static Timing Analysis in Primetime or Primetime-SI.
  • Strong Physical Verification skill set.
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as PERL, TCL.

Key qualifications include:

  • 3 to 12 years of experience in ASIC physical design.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with different teams and prioritize work based on project needs.

A strong understanding of Cadence or Synopsys or Magma physical design tools is essential for this role.
