Job Summary:

Component Design Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Component Design Expert to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop core steam turbine components and flywheels, considering performance, durability, cost, and manufacturing ease.
  • Generate detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and bills of materials.
  • Perform fit and function studies to ensure design integrity and compatibility.
Issue Resolution:
  • Evaluate non-conformance reports and define corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing deviations and field issues, providing timely solutions.
  • Apply root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a design team, ensuring high-quality output aligned with project schedules.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders.
Documentation & Communication:
  • Maintain comprehensive design documentation and support technical reviews.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Utilize excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in steam turbine design or similar rotating equipment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD).
  • Understanding of thermodynamics and Finite element analysis.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with PLM systems and SAP.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ISO, DIN).
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and service engineering is advantageous.
