Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled engineer to work on the design and development of rotating and stationary components for Gas Turbines. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating innovative solutions that meet functionality, robustness, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturing requirements.

This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, CAD modeling tools, and a focus on delivering high-quality products in the turbine industry.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Component Design: Design rotating and stationary components (e.g., blades & vanes, rotors, casings, combustors) for Gas Turbines to meet all design requirements such as functionality, robustness, cost-effectiveness, manufacturing, assembly, and service needs.
  • Innovative Solutions: Develop and apply innovative design solutions that control design risks with methods like Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Robust Design Methods: Apply appropriate methods focusing on robust design, including tolerance analysis, standards, and design rules.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in the design and product development of turbo machinery, specifically Gas Turbines and Steam Turbine components.
  • Proficiency in design tools and CAD software, especially Pro-E and NX.
  • Strong understanding of standard manufacturing processes, fit & tolerances.
  • Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM), Material Master, and material specifications.
