Gas Turbine Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Gas Turbine Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing rotating and stationary components for gas turbines, as well as experience with CAD software such as Pro-E and Nx.

  • Job Description:
  • Create detailed designs of gas turbine rotating and stationary components, including blades, vanes, rotors, casings, and combustions.
  • Develop innovative design solutions to meet functional, robustness, cost effectiveness, manufacturing requirements, and technology standards.
  • Apply appropriate methods for robust design, including tolerance analysis, standards, and design rules.
  • Create, evaluate, review, and apply specifications and technical documents, such as design philosophy, purchasing specifications, working specifications, drawings, BOMs, MMIs, checklists, and standard part calculations.
  • Prepare and review 2D and 3D CAD models of individual and assembly components using Nx software.
  • Experience with model-based definition or PMI is preferred.
  • Create, understand, review, and modify manufacturing/assembly/fabrication drawings of gas turbine components.
  • Seamlessly transfer product definition input and output between CAD modelers and project leads.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university.
  • 6-10 years of experience in design and product development of turbo machinery, specifically gas turbines and steam turbines.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Pro-E and Nx.
  • Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes, fit, and tolerances.
  • Experience in creating and reviewing manufacturing/assembly/fabrication drawings of gas turbine components.
  • Good understanding of bill of material, material master, material specification, and SAP system.
  • Exposure to Teamcenter.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, quick learning, imagination, and innovation.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively.
