Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems, including Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). They will work closely with clients to ensure availability and consistent performance for their Oracle environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Implementation and Configuration: Implement and configure Oracle Exadata systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Databases Maintenance: Maintain and optimize Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Cloud Migration: Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools.
  • Automated Operations: Automate database operations using scripting languages like Shell, Python, and Ansible.
Requirements
  • Database Support Experience: 8+ years of production database support experience, with a focus on large-scale environments.
  • Oracle Expertise: Proven expertise with Oracle Exadata systems, including compute nodes, storage cells, and InfiniBand.
  • RAC and ASM: Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, and Multitenant architectures.
  • ERP Systems: Familiarity with ERP systems on Oracle databases, particularly JDE/E1.
  • Disaster Recovery: Strong background in disaster recovery planning and execution, including public cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
