Director of Business Development and Partnerships

Overview:

The Director of Business Development and Partnerships will be responsible for fostering relationships with member companies, government agencies, and key stakeholders. This position requires a strong understanding of industry trends, policy environment, and stakeholder ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Nurture relationships with member companies, government agencies, and key stakeholders to drive business growth and partnerships.
  • Identify and onboard new members to ensure continuous value delivery and retention.
  • Develop policy recommendations under supervision to inform business decisions.
  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute high-impact conferences, summits, trade delegations, and roundtables to promote industry development.
  • Secure sponsorships and partnerships to support program objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Oversee end-to-end logistics, speaker coordination, and content development to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Contribute to sectoral research reports, whitepapers, and case studies in collaboration with research partners to showcase industry insights.
  • Curate high-quality agendas and speaker lineups for thematic events to engage attendees and promote knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate degree in Management, Economics, Public Policy, International Business, or related field.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in industry associations, consulting, or sector-specific business development.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Experience in sponsorship mobilization to drive revenue growth.
