Job Title: Networks and Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

Cogniter Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Networks and Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and security for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network hardware and software solutions to meet business needs.
  • Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Implement and manage cloud-based services, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS).
  • Develop and maintain network security policies and procedures to protect against cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with other IT systems.
  • Provide timely and effective support for network-related issues and incidents.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our network infrastructure remains secure and efficient.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, including Windows.
  • Understanding of OSI layer model, TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, VLANs.
  • Knowledge of servers, routers, switches, and firewalls, wireless access points.
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, Webservers (Apache, IIS).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based services, including AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of database servers, including MySQL and SQL Server.
  • Experience with VoIP implementation and support.
  • Knowledge of hosting Internet/Intranet applications.
