Driving Strategic Product Growth as an AVPJob Description

As a pivotal leader, the AVP Product plays a crucial role in driving strategic initiatives to enhance customer experience, regulatory compliance, and profitability. This position is responsible for aligning departmental goals with the company's overall vision, overseeing cross-functional teams, and managing high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Ideation & Market Research: Identify market trends and consumer needs to inform product development.
  2. Product Design & Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and price products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
  3. Internal Approvals & Governance: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations through thorough approvals and governance processes.
  4. Regulatory Filing – IRDAI Coordination: Coordinate with regulatory bodies to ensure timely filing and compliance.
  5. Pre-Launch Preparation & Testing: Conduct thorough testing and preparation to ensure seamless product launches.
  6. Go-to-Market strategies: Develop and execute effective marketing strategies to promote products and drive sales.
  7. Product Launch & Monitoring: Monitor product performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure ongoing success.
  8. Regulatory & Risk Management Post-Launch: Continuously monitor and manage regulatory and risk-related issues post-launch.
  9. Stakeholder Reporting: Provide regular updates and insights to stakeholders on product performance and progress.
  10. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with team members and stakeholders to drive collaboration and achieve business objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Must be Post Graduate with 8+ years experience in Product Development for Life insurance.
