Job Overview

The Operations Director oversees the organizational activities of business organizations. They are strategic leaders who support operational leadership in various departments. At both large and small organizations, operations directors supervise, hire, and train employees, manage quality assurance programs, strategize process improvements, and more. Their ultimate goal is to maintain and increase the efficiency of a business, agency, or organization.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring operational and financial key performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved by partnering with multiple teams to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Managing and developing operational client relationships through regular review meetings and daily liaison within key workstreams.
  • Identifying, highlighting, and consulting on further automation, optimization, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Executing a well-defined communication and engagement model to ensure teams understand business performance and meet their needs.
  • Implementing focused engagement programs for employees and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks within processes, people, and technology.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols.
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting a team in a time-sensitive environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution.
  • Managing centers of excellence to achieve operational excellence.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems.
  • Working closely with compliance departments to ensure all processes are compliant.
  • Leading ongoing transitions with adherence to transition milestones.
  • Responsible for business continuity.

Key Qualifications

A seasoned professional with strong delivery experience and the following core skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognized institute or university.
  • Work experience of 15+ years.
  • In-depth knowledge of US retirement processes and products.
  • Results-oriented with ability to work under strict deadlines, meet deadlines, and maintain focus.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • Managerial, planning, organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, analytical, and lateral thinking skills.
  • Good analytical and quantitative skills; excellent organizational skills for tasks, work environment, and documentation.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Self-starter, self-motivator, proactive, and target-oriented.
  • Flexible to work in evening/night shifts and extend when business requires.
  • Knowledge of SLA, Attrition, and Quality.
  • Hands-on transition and project management experience in a global environment.

Domain Requirement

Knowledge of retirements/wealth experience in the US market is mandatory.
