Platform Engineer

We're seeking an exceptional Platform Engineer to lead our Developer Productivity / Platform Engineering team.

This is a key role that drives initiatives enhancing developer experience, accelerating release cycles, and developing scalable internal platforms.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Set the vision and execution roadmap for the Developer Productivity / Platform Engineering team.
  • Design and build internal tools/platforms optimizing CI/CD, testing frameworks, and infrastructure automation.
  • Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions (Kubernetes, AWS, ephemeral environments, service monitoring tools).
  • Partner with engineering leaders to align developer experience initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Champion best practices around continuous delivery, developer efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Evangelize the team's work internally and externally through workshops, training, cross-team adoption, conferences, blogs, and open-source contributions.
  • Mentor engineers, foster innovation, and cultivate a culture of experimentation and learning.

About You

You should have 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in platform/dev productivity roles.

A strong background in Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Spinnaker/Jenkins/ArgoCD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is required.

You should also be skilled in test automation frameworks, dynamic test selection, code quality gates.

Proficiency in coding skills in Go, Python, or Java, with Go being preferred for tooling/frameworks.

Experience designing ephemeral environments, monitoring/observability tools is essential.

A proven track record of leading small teams, mentoring engineers, and driving large-scale initiatives is needed.

Excellent communication and influence skills to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders are necessary.
