
Leading Major Incident Management Specialist

This role is responsible for leading the Major Incident Management team and ensuring that all major incidents are managed effectively.
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities- Strategic Focus: The Senior Major Incident Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to prevent and minimize the impact of major incidents.
- Running Incident Forums: They will lead incident forums for complex low-priority incidents where restoration is difficult, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and involved in the decision-making process.
- Operational Management: The Senior Major Incident Manager will oversee operational management activities, including reviewing operational artefacts, incident ticket quality assurance, and continual improvement of the Major Incident Management process.
- Education and Training: They will provide training and education to Process Practitioners and the Business on Incident Management best practices.
- Reporting and Analysis: The Senior Major Incident Manager will develop, analyze, and deliver insightful reports on Major Incident Management related metrics.
- Post-Incident Reviews: They will conduct post-incident reviews with IT and Business stakeholders to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- 8+ Years Experience: In an IT department of a large enterprise organization with complex systems and infrastructure.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with various stakeholders at all levels.
- Major Incident Management Skills: Highly motivated with strong skills in Major Incident Management.
- ITIL Framework Knowledge: Proven knowledge of Service Level Management & ITIL frameworks.
- Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize appropriately and manage time effectively.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Outstanding ability to analyze, isolate, and interpret incidents.
