Senior Transport Planner Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transport Planner to join our team. As a key member of our transport planning unit, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing sustainable transport solutions for local and state governments.

About the Role:
  • Job Summary: The Senior Transport Planner will be responsible for leading transport planning projects, including data analysis, technical report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop high-quality technical deliverables, including reports, presentations, and tools.
    • Collaborate with the team on sustainable urban transport projects.
    • Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of transport systems data.
    • Act as a technical liaison with clients and city stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Planning or related fields and Master's degree in Transport Planning/Engineering.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of work experience in sustainable transport planning, including e-mobility/metro feasibility and detailed project reports/city bus planning and operations/city logistics plan.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in English and Hindi.
    • Strong written communication and client liaising skills.
    • Transport modelling experience and skills including in Discrete Choice Analysis.
    • Advanced analytical skills with experience in tools like VBA, Python, or R/proficiency in data visualisation software, such as Power BI or Tableau.
