Job Description

Position: Urban Planner

Location: Ahmedabad | Immediate Start

Prameya Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Urban Planner to join our interdisciplinary team. As a firm working at the intersection of urban strategy, research, and design, we are looking for a candidate passionate about addressing critical urban issues through data-driven research, participatory engagement, and innovative planning strategies. This is a full-time role based in Ahmedabad.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and spatial analysis on issues such as affordable housing, climate change, mobility, economics, health, heritage conservation, and inclusive cities.
  • Design and implement community engagement tools to gather insights from diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Contribute to master planning and urban development projects in Ahmedabad and other cities.
  • Analyse policies, evaluate case studies, and develop strategic recommendations through clear research memos, briefs, drawings, and infographics.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in urban planning, housing, transport, infrastructure, or related fields.
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Proficiency in research tools (MS Office, R-Studio), mapping software (GIS), and design tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and visualize complex information.
  • Interest in inclusive city planning, sustainability, and participatory development.
  • Self-driven, collaborative, and able to work across teams and disciplines.
