Senior Road Safety Professional

We are seeking an experienced Senior Road Safety Professional to lead our initiatives in Odisha.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement road safety strategies across the state.
    • Advise on alignment of state initiatives with national road safety frameworks and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
    • Evaluate design and safety aspects of new and existing road projects, including highways, urban roads, intersections, and vulnerable user zones.
    • Analyze crash data, road user patterns, and conduct causal analysis to identify trends and risk factors.
    • Maintain and update a road safety database; prepare periodic performance reports and targets for safety indicators.
    • Lead the design and execution of road safety awareness campaigns for the public.
    • Collaborate with local NGOs, schools, and community leaders for safe mobility initiatives.
    • Work with police and traffic enforcement teams to strengthen compliance with road safety laws.
  • Requirements:
    • A Master's degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering, Urban Planning, Urban Design, Public Policy, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mobility and/or road safety in India.
    • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful urban mobility programs.
    • Strong understanding of Indian policies, laws and regulations.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Auto Cad, GIS, Photoshops and data analysis tools, etc.
    • Hindi and English fluency is a must. Odiya is preferable.
